ABOUT ME

I'm an BAFTA-winning self-shooting documentary Producer/Director. I was raised in Southeast Asia and speak fluent Mandarin after living in China for 8 years. I've travelled the world filming compelling characters and I have a sharp eye for gripping narratives, untold stories and cross cultural narratives.

I love being in the field self-shooting or directing crews and I also edit produce all my films. I have 20 years experience of factual programming in the UK and China, including observational documentary, presenter-led films, and specialist factual. I embark on all my films looking forward to working with producers and contributors who come from a myriad of backgrounds.

After studying Chinese at Edinburgh University, I spent a decade working as a freelance cameraperson and producer in Beijing, Kabul, Islamabad and Sydney. My films have taken me from the jungles of Papua New Guinea to Shanghai skyscrapers and Native American Reservations. Now I'm based in London but relish any chance to work overseas.
